Lots of gamers regard Remnant: From The Ashes as Dark Souls with guns, but this new game title will not just stop there, it will bring you more surprises, challenges, and wonderful battles.
Remnant: From The Ashes Review
Remnant: From the Ashes is a survival third-person action shooter game dropping players into a post-apocalyptic world invaded by gruesome creatures. You become one of the last survivors in this world and you have no choices but to work with two other players to fight off all waves of hostile monsters and defeat their bosses to save the world then take back what was lost.
Similarities between Remnant: From The Ashes and Dark Souls
Remnant: From the Ashes Adventure Mode contains a lot of features that draw inspiration from Dark Souls. You will catch sight of many checkpoints which are just like bonfire – where players can respawn after death. In addition, you can even find a unique item called Dragon Heart in Remnant: From The Ashes and it will be used for HP regeneration, which is the same as Estus Flask.
The design of Remnant: From the Ashes was inspired by Dark Souls, but in Remnant, players can get access to more resources. Most levels of Remnant are not the same. The worlds are not similar to each other either, and in many cases, the same bosses will be different, depending on the world you are in. Remnant: From The Ashes has a unique plot, goals as well as many other areas for you to discover, and they are all different depending on each player.
Thanks to the random element, Remnant: From the Ashes can be worth playing over and over again
Different from Dark Souls, players are unable to get through instructions and know about how to get necessary items instantly. For instance, Simulacrum needs to upgrade Dragon Heart randomly popping up in the open world, and only one available in each main area. To the player A, it can show up randomly, but to player B, they must go find it a lot.
Chaos with a wide range of guns
The outstanding thing about Remnant: From the Ashes game that makes it not a replica of Dark Souls is guns and gameplay. Obviously, it is totally different from Dark Souls with the third-person shooting perspective. Rather than facing off against only one strong enemy, in Remnant, you will face many ones at the same time.
Knowing how to shoot enemies accurately and choosing a suitable weapon to kill the rivals can help you win easily. Remnant also has a dodge mechanism for you to take advantage of. You have to consider your strategies while trying your best to approach your rivals and do whatever it takes to survive.
Just like Dark Souls, every decision you make in Remnant needs to be careful. You will definitely pay the prices if you rush into a new area without knowing anything. If you have no strong shooting skills or powerful weapons, you cannot fix your mistakes.
Remnant: From The Ashes is not an easy game to master
The difficulty of Remnant: From the Ashes will be grown through over time to make sure the players will not be overwhelmed. The level of player’ equipment will be the element that decides how strong that player is. You will never feel the strength or the weakness of your enemy. The more time you spend on Remnant: From the Ashes, the better your skills will become.
With the trait system, you can level up your character much faster and receive bonus stats that help grow your gameplay, including Vigor, Endurance, Handling, and Shadow Walker. All of these traits are unlocked by concentrating on the gameplay. Therefore, if you resurrect more teammates, you can receive Traits to speed up this process.
Co-op and multiplayer elements in Remnant: From the Ashes
Dark Souls is not designed for Co-op gameplay, but Remnant: From the Ashes does, and it can be way much better when 2-3 players can experience together. When playing with your teammates, the tactics will become much more interesting. The types of weapons and items you choose will lead to different ways of playing. Also, discovering a tough area will become much more adventurous yet fascinating when there are other ones with you.
Having Co-op gameplay doesn’t mean the game becomes much easier to master. The Remnant gameplay can become balanced itself depending on the number of the teams. It also makes things more flexible. The solo players can still play and enjoy the game, but it will be more awesome and challenging to have friends with them. Players can become more adventurous and do a lot of dangerous things.
